About CommonTape

CommonTape is an agent-native transaction layer for US home-services businesses. AI buyer agents discover, qualify, quote, hold, book, modify, cancel and check the status of jobs on a customer’s behalf, against the rules each business declares: its services, prices, area, hours and capacity.

Why we’re building it

Agents are becoming the front door people use to get things done, including hiring someone to clean their house. Today almost no independent local business can be found or booked by an agent at all; the ones that can are mostly reachable through a handful of large aggregators. CommonTape is the neutral, honest alternative for the long tail those aggregators don’t reach.

How it works for a business

• Listing is free. Discovery, quotes and holds are free.
• The business allocates a slice of its capacity to the agent channel and sets its own rules.
• It pays a flat fee only on a booking that is completed and confirmed. No subscription, no per-lead fee.
• The customer pays the business directly. CommonTape doesn’t handle job payments.

Where we are

Pre-launch. The founding-merchant waitlist is open, starting with house cleaning in the US. The core transaction engine is built and tested; the agent-facing interface is not yet public.
